National Expertise
- Developed technology for the enhancement of rainfall by aerial cloud seeding and providing consultancy and technical support to various State Governments in their operational rainfall enhancement experiments over drought area.
- Carried out the hydrometeorological analysis of long series rainfall data on different time scales over various river basins of the country which has been proved to be useful to the hydrologists and design engineers for flood and storm studies, and planning and designing of water reservoirs.
- Developed, for the first time in the country, an Excimer laser based DIAL (Differential Absorption LIDAR) technique for vertical profiling of ozone up to stratospheric altitudes.
