The major aim of the workshop is to provide opportunities to expose the advanced air quality modeling systems to meet the future challenges involving high resolution meteorological data and emission inventory of chemical pollutants. The workshop structure included presentations of modeling tools by invited experts pioneered in air pollution model development with detailed chemistry and actively engaged in forecasting. The interested participants need to apply for selection. Participation is by invitation after successful application.

GURME-2008 Workshop will provide an international framework and motivation to pursue air pollution modeling activity for interested scientists. A clear regional focus, with more hands-on and demonstration elements will be the key, and that demonstrations will use local data and numerical weather prediction products.
