National Monsoon Mission: Call for proposals
Earth System Sciences Organization (ESSO) of Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, launched the "National Monsoon Mission" (NMM), a mission mode project with a vision to develop a state of the art dynamical prediction system for monsoon rainfall on all different time scales.   Research proposals are invited under this program by 30th June 2012. Prof Jai-Ho Oh visits IITM, Pune.
Prof Jai-Ho Oh, Director, Super Computer Center, Pukyong National University (PKNU), Busan, South Korea,  will be visiting IITM Pune during 22-24 May 2012. He will deliver a seminar on “Current development for a big data base on the Partnership and Leadership for Nationwide Supercomputer Infra Program and the Global Scientific Data Center – ultra-high resolution Weather/Climate Prediction” on 23 May 2012.
