Inauguration of WISE-2026 and Incubation Center
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune successfully inaugurated “Climate Startup” — the IITM Incubation Centre for Startups in Weather & Climate — on 15 May 2026 during the Weather and Climate Innovation Meet for Startups and Entrepreneurs (WISE 2026).
The inauguration was graced by Dr. M. Ravichandran, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), and Dr. Shailesh Nayak (Padma Shri), Former Secretary, MoES & Director, NiAS. The initiative aims to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions in the fields of weather, climate, and allied sciences.
