10. IITM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bikaner Technical University, Bikaner to Strengthen Climate Research and Observations on 20^th February 2026

9. IITM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU), Nanded, Maharashtra, for the installation of a Lightning Detection System under the Indian Lightning Location Network (ILLN) on 11^th February 2026

8. MoU Signed between IITM & Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology (SLIET), Longowal, Punjab for the installation of a Lightning Detection System as part of the Indian Lightning Location Network (ILLN) on 6^th February 2026

7. Italian CMCC Foundation - Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, a leading global centre for climate research, and IITM, Pune (MOES) signed a collaboration on research topics related to advancing climate modelling using Al. This MoU aims to establish institutional collaborative links between IITM and CMCC to mutual benefit, by fostering interest-led research collaborations at the highest quality standards. on 26^th January 2026

6. MoU has been signed between IITM and SIST in the presence of the Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) on 13^thOctober 2025
