Parameterization for CFSv2 model: A version of CFSv2 model with stochastic multicloud model parameterization replacing the conventional cumulus parameterization has been developed. The stochastic parameterization has showed much improvement in the model mean state and also tropical intraseasonal variabilities. Particular important is noted in the model simulated moisture fields and associated heating which eventually improved the convectively coupled circulation and equatorial waves. |
