Impact of tropical cyclones on the intensity and phase propagation of fall Wyrtki jets
Tropical cyclones (TCs) enhance equatorial westerly winds and amplify monthly mean Wyrtki-Jets, which alters the heat content of eastern TIO and modulate air‐sea interaction. Movement of TCs is mainly responsible for the westward phase propagation of Wyrtki-Jets.
